RITA JENNINGS:
Artist
The talents Rita uses to accomplish the task of any artistic
project began long before she was able to walk or speak.
For she was apprenticed by her father who was a Portrait
Artist and Painter...jack of all trades so to speak. His vision
and dream of Rita becoming an artist was so strong that he
painted a portrait of her when she was only a few months
old, and in this portrait he placed a paintbrush in each of
Ritas hands.
As early as Rita can remember, she was her dad's protégé. She carried and used many paint brushes and assisted her father in most of his projects.
Rita has created and developed her own style and techniques
known as movements in her work. Ritas work has won her 3rd
place in 2007 and 1st place in 2008 in the Parade of Homes
Destin Beach Florida. Rita has been noted on several occasions
in the local news paper. Some of her artistic Talents lie in many
styles of faux finishes; use of metallics and pearls, art on canvas,
furniture and simply to say art on anything that will stay still long
enough to be painted.
"A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances,
but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes."
